Shortlist success for Southgate School at the CDI Career Development Awards
Southgate School, who commission C&K Careers’ services alongside their established Careers Coordinator, has been shortlisted for the ‘Careers Programme in a Special School’ award at this year’s CDI Awards. The award recognises best practice in a Special School. There were over 40 entries for the awards this year so it is a great achievement to be shortlisted.
The whole school is committed to including all the pupils in discovering their careers potential, whilst keeping the approach fresh and real. The working relationship between Southgates’ Sue Coates and Linda Cooper, C&K Careers Adviser Sarah Hodgson together with a range of other agencies, ensures that everyone attending the school gets a tailored, independent and impartial CEIAG programme, that prepares for adulthood and transition, and which continues to support the pupils once they have moved on from the school.
The winners will be announced at the UK Career Development Awards dinner in Leeds on 7 March.
